TIMELY - RAPID PROTOTYPING, INCLUSIVE DESIGN
“Technology should be invisible.”
Products that offer convenience, ease of use, and pleasure.
Timely is an information appliance that bridges the digital and physical, offering convenience, ease of use, and pleasure. A clock, which reminds you about your scheduled activities for the next 12 hours, it gives a clear overview of the day’s activities through an approachable, familiar, engaging object, which requires no technical skill to understand.
The initial idea was developed during a workshop for Inclusive Design with Helen Hamlyn Center for Design and EPFL+ECAL Lab. The workshop was part of the project “Solidarity Network”, which explores how digital technology can be used to strengthen social ties for elderly people.
