Who Am I?
I would like to express my interest in the open position offered.
I feel that I am a prime candidate for this position.
I am a very enthusiastic and motivated Designer with more than 20 years of
experience in house and as a freelancer where I had the opportunity to work
with high profile multinational companies as part of national and international
level engagements.
I worked as a senior graphic designer for Nike Iberia for more than 10 years
where I was responsible for print materials for marketing campaigns and points
of sale. I would also help with the installation of the printed materials when requested.
I have experience in photography, print design, visual identity and marketing campaigns - from concept, to production and installation.
I hope I have the opportunity to explain to you in more detail, how and why
I am an excellent acquisition for your team.

I'm an Earthling!
As a design enthusiast, I am passionate about the ability of design to create
meaningful and impactful experiences. I am driven by a love for aesthetics, functionality, and structure, and believe that design has the power to transform
people's experiences of the world around them.
My goal has been to use design as a tool for promoting positive change and addressing the critical issues of our time.
Inspired by Buckminster Fuller's quote, "If you want to teach people a new way
of thinking, don't bother trying to teach them. Instead, give them a tool, the use
of which will lead to new ways of thinking”, I have been experimenting with interactive information and communication systems that promote the efficient sharing of knowledge within social settings.
Recently, my focus has been on exploring the impact of new digital interfaces on human behavior and society. I believe that the way technology mediates our social interactions is diminishing our human experience.
I view the creative process as a journey of discovery, where a goal might be
fixed but the path to achieving it is unknown. Creative problem solving takes a
non-sequential and non-linear approach and does not follow a clear set of steps.
This allows for a fresh perspective and new solutions to emerge.
I believe that by daring to be naive, we can push the boundaries of what is possible and create meaningful and impactful experiences through design.

Main responsibilities:
Visual Identity development, Web content manager, Sport & Fashion Markets
POS Services, Retail and Wholesale Marketing.
I was responsible for the creative development and customised design and production of global campaigns for POS, events and sponsorships of Nike and Hurley in Portugal and Spain.
My work was focused on the management of the design process all the way
through the translation of global design campaigns to a local level (Portugal
and Spain), helping the brand to express their values through design.
