BIOSPACE

Health and Wellbeing at the workplace.

Winner of Green Design Week London 2016

Traditional healthcare delivery systems primarily focus on addressing health after people have already become sick. Biophilia in the workplace can address health and wellbeing issues as well as environmental aspects by reducing levels of indoor air pollutants, air temperatures and background noise, acting as a preventive health measure. Biospace is an integrated project with its basis in the creation of synergies by the integration of green infrastructure within the office environment.

By creating 5 individual design pieces, it aims to address water, waste and energy efficiency in buildings, health and wellbeing of the building users and to work as an educational tool, helping the building users to acquire skills to grow their own food and to promote more healthy food consumption patterns.
